Cayuga Community College's School of Health Sciences seeks applications for a full-time, ten month Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) for its Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. The AFWC is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring programming related to student fieldwork to assure program compliance with standards of the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.



The AFWC will collaborate with clinical and community agencies throughout the upstate New York area to coordinate fieldwork placements and develop student learning experiences. The AFWC will teach fieldwork courses and courses in his/her area of expertise as assigned by the OTA Program Director.



The successful candidate will possess strong occupational therapy community relationships, effective written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to student-centered education. Travel to fieldwork sites is required.



Qualifications:

  • Current NYS license to practice as OTR or COTA.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an institution that is accredited by a regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
  • Evidence of experience in adult treatment and physical health and rehabilitation.
  • Experience with OT or OTA fieldwork education.
  • Membership in American Occupational Therapy Association and New York State Occupational Therapy Association required.

Salary: $56,538 plus excellent fringe benefits.
