TITLE: Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness


CLASSIFICATION: Administrative, Full-time, FLSA - Exempt



The purpose of the position is to provide leadership for planning, leading, executing and evaluating comprehensive processes of institutional accreditation, strategic planning, assessment of learning outcomes for student enrichment and process improvement, student learning outcomes, and grant writing. The position reports directly to the President and serves on the ACC Leadership Team. The Executive Director works with all College constituencies to plan and implement programs and services and obtain external funding that support the College’s mission and core values, with the purpose of assessing their effectiveness, using relevant quantitative and qualitative data, and using assessment and other relevant statistics to inform senior leadership toward strategic decisions. Supervision responsibility over the Grants Development Director and shared Administrative Assistant position. Every ACC faculty and staff member is expected to participate in the assessment process of the College, utilizing the results of assessment for continuous institutional improvement.

Minimum Qualification:

· Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

· Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, teaching, or equivalent experience, including staff supervision.

· Direct experience in strategic planning processes, institutional/program accreditation, grant writing/management, assessment of student learning outcomes, and data analysis.

· Commitment to creating an inclusive learning & work environment and demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

· Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines.

· Skilled at convening groups and building partnerships with various employee groups and external constituents.

· Effective verbal communication skills to support interaction with diverse internal and external constituents. Effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

· Effective writing and editing skills to produce professional proposals and materials; attention to detail.

· Demonstrated ability to access and analyze data for effective decision making.

· Ability to utilize technology at an executive level.

Preferred Qualification:

· Direct knowledge and understanding of regional accreditation agencies and institutional responsibilities regarding accreditation.

· Direct evidence of cultivating and sustaining a college-wide culture of assessment of student learning outcomes and institutional continuous improvement.

· Demonstrated leadership or significant involvement in an inclusive strategic planning process.

· Familiarity with and understanding of government-funded grant processes and programs.

· Demonstrated ability to bring together individuals for effective collaboration and teamwork.
