Temporary one-year Instructor of English - Fulton Campus


Cayuga Community College's Fulton Division of College Studies seeks applications for one (1) 10-month, one-year temporary teaching appointment in English Composition to teach first-year writing and developmental English during the 2017-2018 Academic Year. This position is for the Fulton, NY campus.



Requirements:

  • Master's in English with specialization in composition/rhetoric; developmental and community college teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching first-year students.
  • Knowledge of key issues in college writing instruction.
  • Familiarity with current course, program, and curricular assessment practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Additional experience and interest in developmental studies, WAC/ WID pedagogy, reading/ literacy instruction, new media/ multi-modal composition, professional/ technical writing, or technology-mediated instruction is desirable.

Salary: $56,538* plus a comprehensive benefit package
*Note: Salary is based on the last negotiated contract.
